The AN/APX-95 training pod with pylon and rack 1:72 is a resin accessory for models of the Mirage F.1C and F.1CR. It is not a model of the aircraft but an underwing load. The set is intended for the Special Hobby, Hasegawa or Esci kit.

A resin accessory for models of the Mirage F.1 in the C and CR versions in 1:72 scale. According to the name it contains the pod itself, the pylon and the rack, that is, a complete underwing load that can be added to a model in place of a weapon. It is not an aircraft kit: the set serves to enrich a model that has already been built or is part-built. The set is intended for the Special Hobby, Hasegawa or Esci kit, which has to be obtained separately.
Systems of the TACTS type, that is, air combat training and evaluation systems, make it possible to follow the position and maneuvers of an aircraft in real time over a training range and then to evaluate the exercise on the ground. For that the aircraft carries a pod with a transmitter and a receiver, which is hung on an ordinary pylon. In real service a machine in the training configuration is therefore recognizable precisely by this elongated pod.
First wash the resin parts in warm soapy water, because there tends to be mold release residue on the surface under which paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and never snap them off. It is advisable to sand wet and with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue, as cement for plastic has no effect on resin. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the shade will not sit evenly on resin.
