This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the early Czechoslovak fighter biplane Avia B-3 in the International edition with matching decals. The model comes from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov and is based on a restored older tooling. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Avia B-3 (also BH-3) was a Czechoslovak all-metal fighter biplane of the first half of the nineteen twenties that followed on from the successful design line of the Avia company. It was one of the early domestic fighter types; only a small number were built, which makes it an interesting and rare subject from the beginnings of Czechoslovak aviation.
On a biplane, pay attention to seating the upper wing and the struts accurately; it helps to prepare a simple spacing jig. The rigging wires can be added with a thin thread. For period machines flat or semi-gloss shades and a discreet accentuation of the fabric structure work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
