Avro Lancaster in Polish service part I is a sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the brand Model Maker. It is not a kit but an accessory for a finished, painted model of the four-engined Avro Lancaster bomber. According to the name the set is aimed at machines in Polish service, and it is the first part of a series followed by a second part.
The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engined bomber of the Second World War period, powered by inline engines and built in several versions that differed mainly in the powerplant. Within the Royal Air Force it was flown by crews made up of Polish airmen as well. In 1:72 scale a Lancaster model has a large expanse of airframe, so decals tell on it strongly.
Bombers of that period carried matte finishes, on which a glossy decal film shows at once. That is exactly why the work is closed with a matte overcoat. It is applied only once the decals are completely dry, in thin layers and preferably in two goes, because a heavy layer of matte varnish is able to fog fine printing. Before spraying, stir matte varnishes thoroughly, so that the flattening agent is evenly dispersed. The reward is a uniform surface on which you cannot tell where the paint ends and the decal begins.
The decals are an accessory for a model. The model, the paints and the varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
