A photo-etched metal set in 1:72 scale for a model of the B-25B Mitchell medium bomber. It adds features to the model that plastic cannot make thin enough in this scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The North American B-25 Mitchell is an American twin-engine medium bomber with twin vertical tails, a nose landing gear and two radial engines. The B version received an upper and a lower retractable gun turret and lost the tail gun position. It was machines of this version that in 1942 took off from the deck of an aircraft carrier for the raid on the Japanese islands, a completely unusual task for a twin-engine bomber.
Etched sheet is tenths of a millimeter thick, so it can replace parts that plastic inevitably makes look bulky in 1:72 scale. On a bomber that shows above all in the glazed nose and in the cockpit, where you can see inside: the instrument panel, the harness belts, the frames, the grilles and the small fittings. The range of the set and the B-25 kit in 1:72 scale it is tuned for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the items with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with scissors. Make the bends along the marked score line, ideally in a bending tool, and do them in one movement; repeated bending cracks the metal. They are bonded with super glue or two-part glue; cement for plastic will not bond metal. Degrease the metal before painting and coat it with a primer for metal, otherwise the finish chips off during handling. Put small parts in a dish once they are separated, or you will be looking for them on the floor.
The model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
