It is not an airplane kit but a detail set meant to be fitted into a plastic kit of the B-26K Counter Invader ground-attack aircraft. The castings replace or supplement the simplified plastic parts and raise the overall level of the model.
The Douglas B-26K Counter Invader is a modernized combat version of the proven A-26/B-26 Invader, deployed above all during the war in Vietnam for counter-insurgency and night strike tasks. It was marked by strengthened armament, reworked engines and tip tanks on the wings.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for the joints. Apply a primer before painting; the detail comes out after accenting with washes and a light patina of pigments.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin detail set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
