1:72 BAC/EE Lightning F.1A/F.2 is a decal sheet in 1:72 scale from the British brand Xtradecal with markings for the early versions of the English Electric Lightning interceptor. It is not a kit but an accessory for building a model.

A sheet of decals in 1:72 scale from the British manufacturer Xtradecal, focused on the early production versions of the Lightning, that is the F.1A and the F.2. The package contains the decals alone. A modeler can use them to replace the markings from the box or to build a variant that the kit does not originally offer.
The Lightning was a British supersonic interceptor of unusual design: its two engines were not side by side but one above the other in the rear fuselage, with a single frontal air intake carrying a conical centerbody. Thanks to that it had an exceptional rate of climb and a slim, almost cylindrical fuselage. The F.1A and F.2 versions are among the first production forms and differ from the later machines in details of armament, equipment and the arrangement of the external stores.
The slim circular fuselage of the Lightning is demanding for decals. A long motif laid across a curve tries to straighten itself and lifts at the edges. Work with plenty of water under the film, therefore, so that the decal can be moved freely, and press it down with a cotton swab along the axis from the center toward the edges, never across. At the rear and around the fin it pays to divide the motif and apply it in sections. Do the final fine-tuning while it is damp; once dry you can no longer move the decal.
The product is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
