1:72 BAe Harrier GR.1 is an Xtradecal decal sheet with markings for the first combat version of the British vertical takeoff aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for models of the British Harrier attack aircraft in the GR.1 version. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model. The sheet carries the markings of the machines given by the manufacturer on the packaging; before buying, compare what the manufacturer gives on the packaging with what you want to build.
The Harrier was the first production combat aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing to reach squadron service. This was made possible by the Pegasus turbofan engine with four rotating nozzles, by whose turning the thrust was shifted between the vertical and the horizontal direction. The GR.1 version was the first attack variant of the Royal Air Force and entered service at the end of the 1960s. The type came about at Hawker Siddeley and in later years was developed further under the British Aerospace name.
Keep to the order of work. Decals belong only on a mature gloss varnish, and the weathering and the emphasizing of panel seams come only after them. Anyone who lays a wash on before the decals risks the dark color getting under the edge of the film. A wash laid on after the decals and after the unifying varnish, on the other hand, will emphasize the seams across the markings too and the model looks of one piece. On the Harrier that is especially noticeable around the rotating nozzles and on the underside of the fuselage, where the panel layout is dense.
This is a decal sheet, that is an accessory. The kit, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
