Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Beriev Be-14 flying boat in 1:72 scale from Modelsvit. It is a limited-production new mold with fine combined surface engraving. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and a decal sheet is usually part of the package.
The Be-14 is a Soviet amphibious flying boat derived from the Be-12 Chayka. It was adapted for year-round search and rescue tasks over the sea, that is, for finding and rescuing the crews of machines shot down or crashed. A pair of turboprop engines powered it and the machine could land on water as well as at an airfield.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints of the boat hull carefully for the sake of a smooth line along the bottom. A primer as a ground and spraying with an airbrush are advisable. On the large areas of the wings and the hull it pays to lay the paint on in thin coats.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
