The real subject

The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engine multipurpose combat aircraft of the Second World War. The TF Mk.X version served above all with Coastal Command as an anti-shipping and torpedo machine; it was powered by Bristol Hercules radial engines and carried heavy armament of four 20 mm cannons in the nose and machine guns in the wings. Rugged and heavily armed, the Beaufighter was regarded as a formidable machine against ships and ground targets alike.
