A resin detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Quickboost (Aires brand). It is not an airplane kit but an accurate replacement for the balance weights, that is the mass balance of the control surfaces, for a plastic model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter. The parts are finely cast with a faithful shape, so they replace the simplified or missing plastic components from the box and sharpen the external detail of the tail surfaces.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the most widely used German fighter of the Second World War, built in many versions throughout the conflict. The external balance weights on the control surfaces provided the mass balance of those surfaces and are among the small but characteristic details of the machine's silhouette.
Wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and test-fit them; bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Paint the small parts to match the surrounding surface; a fine wash will bring out the shape and a dry brush will pick out the edges.
This is a resin detail set, not a kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
