Quickboost 1:72 Bf 109E tail wheel is a resin replacement part for refining a model of the German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin replacement tail wheel for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a small detail part from Quickboost. The casting replaces the simplified plastic part with a more faithful piece with the correct shape of the tire and the fork.
The Bf 109 was the main German fighter of the Second World War. The E version, nicknamed Emil, played a major part in the Battle of Britain in 1940. It was powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 601 inverted V12 engine. The small tail wheel at the rear of the fuselage is a minor but conspicuous detail that catches the eye on models standing on their landing gear, and a faithful casting improves it noticeably.
First wash the part to remove any mold release residue. Separate it carefully from the casting block with a sharp knife and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate); ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin. Sand with respiratory protection, because resin dust is very fine. Before painting, roughen the surface lightly and apply a primer suitable for resin.
This is an accessory for refining a plastic kit, not a stand-alone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
