This is a resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory meant to replace and refine the cockpit on a plastic kit of the Bf 109G-2. Sets of this kind usually contain the cockpit tub, the instrument panel, the side panels and the seat, all finely detailed.
The Bf 109G-2 is a single-engine fighter of the Second World War, one of the early versions of the widespread Gustav line. The cramped cockpit with its characteristic instrument panel and side controls is typical of this type and in 1:72 scale it tells strongly under an open canopy.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the seating of the tub dry before the fuselage is closed. The cockpit is best painted part by part, and the detail of the instruments brought out with a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
