Colored three-dimensional interior elements for the Bf 110C, D and E in 1:72 scale, prepared for the Eduard kit. The elements are on decal paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a German twin-engine combat aircraft with a long glazed canopy, under which the pilot sat with another crew member behind him. That long glazing is exactly why the cockpit is so visible on a model and why it is worth putting some work into. The set covers the C, D and E versions.
Colored three-dimensional interior elements, that is, the instrument panel, the side panels and consoles and the seat harnesses. The elements are printed with relief, so the dials, levers and switches have real depth and cast a shadow in the finished cockpit.
The elements are printed on decal backing paper and have no adhesive layer of their own. Cut the part from the sheet, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and then slide it off the paper into place. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemistry would attack the printed resin.
Work in this order: smooth the surface under the element, remove the raised detail of the kit, wash and degrease it. Because the element carries no adhesive of its own, coat the surface with gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, on which it takes hold reliably. Transfer the soaked element with tweezers, slide it off the paper and press it down with a soft swab from the center outward. On contoured surfaces press gradually, and in a broken-up place help it along with a drop of super glue.
Only the sheet with the interior elements is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
