An injection-molded plastic kit of the German twin-engined heavy fighter Messerschmitt Bf 110 in the G-2 version in 1:72 scale from the Czech firm Eduard. The set makes use of a modern, finely engraved mold and offers a well worked out cockpit as well as underwing stores. The particular equipment of the package depends on the edition; the premium Eduard editions usually add color photo-etched parts and painting masks.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a twin-engined multirole fighter of the Luftwaffe. The G-2 version from the later phase of the Second World War was used as a day heavy fighter and as a carrier of heavy armament against bomber formations; some machines carried an underfuselage 37 mm gun barrel or underwing rockets. The crew consisted of a pilot and a radio operator and gunner.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and any photo-etched parts with super glue. The glazed cockpit is large, so finish and paint the cockpit carefully before closing it and mask the glazing. German camouflage schemes with mottled transitions come into their own best when sprayed with an airbrush and with fine panel shading.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
