The set brings three-dimensional instrument panels, side panels, levers and other detail into the cockpit of the Blackburn Buccaneer S.2B in its late form; everything is already in color, so the laborious painting falls away. It is shaped for the Buccaneer S.2B kit in 1:72 scale from Airfix.

The real subject

The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British two-seat strike aircraft meant for low-level penetration under radar, originally carrier-borne. The S.2B version served with the RAF; the Late designation corresponds to the later form of the cockpit and avionics.

How the 3D decal is used

• Cut the individual parts out, dip them in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slide them off the backing paper into place in the cockpit.
• It is applied onto a clean surface coated with gloss varnish, on which it holds, because it has no adhesive layer of its own.
• Do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin; in broken-up places a drop of super glue helps.
