An add-on bomb bay set for a model of the British Bristol Blenheim Mk.I light bomber in 1:72 scale, made according to the name for the Airfix kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bristol Blenheim Mk.I was a British light bomber of the second half of the 1930s. When it appeared it was among the fastest machines of its class and outran a number of the fighters of the day, but by the start of the Second World War neither its speed nor its defensive armament were enough any more. It carried its bomb load in a fuselage bomb bay under the wing, so opening that bay gives the model an interesting view from underneath.
The set deals with the bomb bay area, which a kit usually reduces to suggested doors. An open bomb bay pays off above all on a model displayed on a stand, where the underside of the airframe is on view too, and it goes well with opened engine nacelles or an opened cockpit. The name gives the Airfix kit in 1:72 scale; for what exactly is in the package, check the manufacturer's information on the packaging and in the instructions.
Expect to have to rework the kit parts: mark out the outline of the opening first, drill a row of small holes along the inside of it and only then finish the cut with a sharp blade. Sand the edges flat and dry-fit the parts of the set while something can still be adjusted. The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic will not join them; use cyanoacrylate glue and degrease the surfaces before joining them. Wash in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent before painting, and once dry bring out the raised detail with a dark glaze and a dry brush.
The package contains the add-on set named. The kit, the bombs, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
