Aires 1:72 Bristol Beaufighter cockpit set is a resin detail set that will replace the simplified interior of a model of the British heavy fighter.

A resin cockpit set from the Czech maker Aires in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a complete replacement for the interior: a cockpit tub, an instrument panel, seats, controls and side consoles with a fine detail that injection-molded plastic cannot manage in a small scale. Aires sets are usually complemented by photo-etched parts and preprinted elements for faithful coloring.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engine heavy fighter and attack aircraft of the Second World War. It stood out for its heavy gun and rocket armament and was used as a night fighter and as a strike machine against shipping. Its roomy cockpit is clearly visible on a model.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. The interior is fitted into the fuselage before it is glued together; sometimes the walls have to be thinned slightly. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The detail comes into its own after washes and a dry brush.
