A resin Bristol Mercury engine in 1:72 scale is a detail accessory for sharpening up the powerplant of a model of the Bristol Blenheim light bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set, not an aircraft model. The set contains a faithfully made Bristol Mercury radial engine meant to replace or sharpen up the powerplant of a plastic model of the Bristol Blenheim bomber in 1:72 scale. The casting captures the fine structure of the cylinders and of the valve gear that injection-molded plastic usually cannot convey.
The Bristol Mercury was a British air-cooled radial engine that powered a number of aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s, among them the twin-engine Bristol Blenheim deployed during the Second World War. A faithful rendering of the engine markedly raises the realism of an exposed engine section.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean the surfaces up. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. We recommend painting the engine and picking it out with a wash before you install it in the fuselage.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
