1:72 Bristol Blenheim Mk.IF Finnish Air Force canopy mask is a set of glazing masks in 1:72 scale for the Finnish Blenheim in its fighter conversion. It is an accessory for painting a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut self-adhesive glazing masks in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker Montex. The set holds no plastic parts and no decals — it is an aid for painting that covers the clear areas and lets you spray the cockpit frames with a sharp edge. The Blenheim has an extensively glazed nose and pilot's cockpit, so cutting tape by hand would be very slow in this scale.
The Bristol Blenheim was a British twin-engine all-metal aircraft that originated as a fast bomber. The Mk.IF version was a fighter conversion of the Mk.I bomber: a gun pack was added under the fuselage so that the machine could serve as a heavy fighter and a night fighter. Finland used Blenheims over a long period, including machines built under license by its own aircraft industry; in Finnish service they served in reconnaissance, bombing and training roles.
In 1:72 scale the masks are small and handling them decides the result. Work with sharp tweezers with fine tips and lift each mask by its edge, not by its face. Before applying it, look at the part against the light and check that there are no fingerprints on it. Small frames are easily flooded with paint, so spray in short bursts and in thin coats. Cover the rest of the part and the cockpit opening with tape so that no mist gets inside. Remove the masks as soon as possible after the paint has dried; small pieces otherwise hold unpleasantly firmly.
This is an accessory for a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
