About product

Buccaneer S.2C - port engine, 1:72 (resin)

This is a resin detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The set is meant for the Airfix kit of the British Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C carrier-borne bomber in 1:72 scale and depicts the service panel of the port engine together with the bay beneath it, which sits on the upper fuselage behind the port air intake. It lets you show this area with the panel removed and reveal the detail inside.

What the set is for

It adds an open engine bay with faithful detail, which the base kit does not hold, to the model. It calls for small changes to the fuselage according to the procedure supplied.

Tips for working it

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Cut the opening in the fuselage out to the template. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). The detail inside comes out best after a primer, lightening of the shades and a flowing wash.

Who it is for

  • Builders of the Buccaneer who want an open engine bay.
  • Modelers who do not mind a small cut into the fuselage.
  • The more advanced, used to working with resin.

This is an accessory, not a model. It is supplied unpainted, without glue and paints.
