Resin landing flaps for the C-130 model in 1:72 scale are an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not an aircraft model. They let you show the flaps in the lowered position.

A more extensive resin accessory from the Czech company Brengun, cut for the Italeri kit. The package holds no model; these are replacement parts with which to replace the trailing section of the wing. Working with this type of accessory is meant for more experienced modelers, because it cannot be done without cutting off the original plastic part.
Most large kits have the wing cast in one piece, that is with the flaps in the retracted position and only a suggested gap. But an aircraft standing on an airfield apron often has its flaps lowered and the mechanism exposed. Resin parts make it possible to show that position with the correct thickness of section, which cutting and thinning plastic would hardly achieve.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release residue, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc; never break them off. Sanding resin creates a fine dust that should not be inhaled, so sand wet and with respiratory protection. It is bonded exclusively with super glue, as cement for polystyrene will not bond resin. Mark the cut into the wing out first and cut with a margin, which you then sand down to size against the dry-fitted part.
The accessory is supplied on its own and unpainted. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
