Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the American twin-engined Curtiss C-46 Commando transport aircraft. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without tediously cutting tape by hand.
The Curtiss C-46 Commando is an American twin-engined transport aircraft of the Second World War with a pair of powerful radial engines. At the time it appeared it was among the largest and heaviest twin-engined aircraft, and it made its name above all on the demanding supply route over the Himalayas, nicknamed the Hump. The rugged machine carried bulky cargo and proved itself in civil transport after the war as well.
Degrease the glazing of the cockpit and the side windows and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the individual frames, press them into the edges. Fine-tune the transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
