This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Mirage Hobby captures the Polish heavy artillery tractor C7P in the form in which the German army used it, after capturing it, as a recovery vehicle. The package holds sprues with plastic parts and a decal sheet. Mirage Hobby is a Polish short-run brand, so the build is somewhat more demanding and aimed rather at more experienced modelers.
The C7P was a Polish heavy tracked tractor derived from the chassis of the 7TP light tank. It served to tow heavy guns and to carry loads. After 1939 the Germans took over some of these machines and put them to new tasks, among others as recovery and towing vehicles for damaged equipment. It was a robust tracked machine with an open body.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the body up. Cut the small parts out carefully and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. Use an airbrush and a primer for painting; build the marked patina of mud and dust effects up with washes and pigments, which suit a robust tractor well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
