1:72 Camouflage Paint Masks For Su-33 Flanker-D contains two sheets of masks for the camouflage finish of the carrier fighter. It is made by the Bulgarian brand DN Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The carrier version has large wings and canards as well, so the camouflage pattern passes across several separately glued parts. The two sheets in the package are cut so that the fields carry over even across these seams, and that even if you build the wing folded.
The Su-33 came about as the naval derivative of a heavy fighter for operation from a carrier with a ski-jump ramp. It differs from the land-based version in its canards, strengthened landing gear, folding wingtips and an arrestor hook. Thanks to its large fuel capacity it covers extensive areas over the sea, and its task is above all the defense of the task force against air attack.
Cover the wing in sections and smooth each piece outward from the middle, so that no bubble is trapped under it. At the seams between the fuselage and the lifting surfaces let a piece pass over the edge and only then press it into the engraving with a fingernail. After spraying, take the tape off before the finish has fully cured, as otherwise a sharp edge may crumble.
Adhesive residue does not stay on the pieces, so once cleaned they can be put back onto the backing film and used when building another example. This item contains neither the aircraft nor paints.
