1:72 Centurion Mk III complete kit is a complete resin kit of the British tank from the Black Dog brand. The model is built on its own, with no need for another kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds the whole vehicle in castings of casting resin, so it is neither a conversion nor an accessory set. Black Dog is one of the Czech makers who pride themselves on the quality of their castings, and in a small scale that shows above all on the fine surface textures. The build is handled differently from plastic, though, which is worth reckoning with in advance.
The Centurion was created during the Second World War as an answer to the need for a tank that would combine strong armor with sufficient firepower. The designation Mk III stands for the version armed with the 20-pounder gun and fitted with gun stabilization, which was a substantial step forward for its day. It was precisely these machines that proved themselves in the Korean conflict and laid the foundation for the long career of the type with a number of armies.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, otherwise not even the primer will hold on them. Remove the casting blocks by cutting, not by breaking, and level the edges wet. Always try the assembly dry, because cyanoacrylate gives no second chance to shift a part. Finish and paint the running gear and the underside before you attach the turret. British dark green gains depth when a graded lightening of the upper surfaces and a fine dark glaze into the hollows are added to it.
The castings come raw and unpainted; the look of the tank is reached only once the parts have been cleaned up, assembled and painted.
