Containers (Vietnam) in 1:72 scale are a scenic accessory for a diorama. It is not a model kit but stand-alone objects for base support areas and storage yards.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set belongs among the scenic accessories for dioramas and display scenes. It is not a kit of an aircraft or a vehicle — these are stand-alone objects that fill the area of a scene and give it a function: a depot, a base support area, a marshaling yard or a parking corner. The word in brackets in the name refers to the Vietnam theater, that is the period the manufacturer relates the set to.
Containers suit aviation as well as ground scenes: by an apron, by a workshop area, at the edge of a landing area or among vehicles. They also work purely compositionally — the vertical walls form a backdrop the scene can lean on and conceal the transition of a diorama into the background. The accessory is not tied to a particular kit and combines with any model in 1:72 scale.
After cutting them off the sprue gates, level the faces and degrease the surface. Spray on a base and then the base shade — most often olive green, sand or gray; choose according to the scene you are putting the containers in. Large flat surfaces call for modulation: lighten the center of the panels and leave the edges darker. A dark wash in the grooves and rivet lines follows, then fine scuffs and rust on the edges and the lower part, and finally a pigment or dust at floor level. The containers can also be stacked, which adds height to a scene. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and work in a well-ventilated room.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
