Crusader Mk.III anti-aircraft tank with a 40mm Bofors 1:72 from IBG models is a detailed injection-molded kit with photo-etched parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British anti-aircraft tank built on the Crusader III chassis with a 40mm Bofors gun in an open superstructure, 1:72 scale, from IBG models. The package contains photo-etched parts and decals. The model is supplied unassembled and offers an interesting and less usual subject.
After the fighting in Africa ended, the proven Crusader chassis served for a whole range of conversions, among them an anti-aircraft variant. It carried a 40mm Bofors gun in an open superstructure, which gave the armored units protection against low-flying aircraft. The vehicle thus combined the mobility of a tank chassis with an effective anti-aircraft weapon.
The smaller scale and the photo-etched parts call for precision; join the etch with cyanoacrylate glue. The open superstructure and the gun barrel deserve careful assembly. Unify the hull with a base color, accentuate the details with a wash and add dust pigments. Paint the running gear and the tracks separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
