Italeri 1:72 D.A.K. Infantry is a set of unpainted figures of the German Afrikakorps from the fighting in North Africa.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of infantry figures of the German Afrikakorps (Deutsches Afrika Korps) in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The box contains unpainted figures in soft plastic in a range of combat poses. The mold follows on from the older Esci production and the set is meant for dioramas as well as wargaming from the African campaign.
The figures capture the German infantry of the Afrikakorps, which was sent to North Africa in 1941 under the command of Erwin Rommel. The units fought in Cyrenaica, at Tobruk and in Egypt, and after the defeat at El Alamein they withdrew to Tunisia. The figures are shown in the tropical uniform adapted to the desert environment.
Glue the soft plastic with a glue for soft plastics or with a cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wash the figures before painting and apply a primer. The sand and khaki shades of the tropical uniform will stand out once you bring out the folds with a dark wash and a light pass with a dry brush.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
