CMK 1:72 DAP Beaufighter Mk.21 Conversion Set is a resin conversion set that turns an ordinary Beaufighter model into the Australian license-built Mk.21 version. It is not a kit on its own but an accessory for a base kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin conversion set from CMK intended for Bristol Beaufighter models in 1:72 scale. The set is NOT an aircraft model but a collection of parts with which you rebuild a base kit into the Australian Mk.21 version, built under license by DAP for the RAAF. It contains cast resin parts, a vacuum-formed clear cover for the rear cockpit and a decal sheet with the markings of Australian aircraft.
The Mk.21 was the local Australian derivative of the TF.X series Beaufighter. Its recognition features were the raised autopilot fairing on the nose, a modified rear canopy and the ability to carry heavier machine guns in the wing. The aircraft served in the Pacific as attack and anti-shipping machines.
First wash the parts free of any remaining mold release agent, carefully cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue. Before filling, check the fit against the fuselage of the base model; a little leveling with filler is usual with conversions.
A supplementary set. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
