A set of cut self-adhesive Peewit masks for a model of the twin-engined airliner Douglas DC-3, known also as the Dakota, in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for a clean coat on the frames of the flight deck and the many windows of the fuselage. The masks follow the shape of the glazing of a particular kit exactly.
The Douglas DC-3 was an American twin-engined airliner that revolutionized civil air transport in the 1930s and, in its military form (the C-47 / Dakota), became one of the most important transport aircraft of the Second World War. Thanks to its reliability a number of machines were still flying long after the war.
Apply the masks to a clean, degreased, dry surface and press their edges down well so that paint does not bleed underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats, best of all with an airbrush at lower pressure. Mask the many small windows of the fuselage patiently, one piece at a time. Lift the masks while the paint is still fresh, so that they do not tear off a dried coat.
This is a masking set, not a model. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
