Defiant Mk.I Exhausts, Fishtail Version, 1:72 (Quickboost) is a resin aircraft accessory in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but a detail part. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin exhaust stacks in the fishtail version, that is with a flat flared outlet, for the British Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I turret fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part with finely suggested outlets, replacing the simplified plastic exhausts from the base kit, not a model of the aircraft.
The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British two-seat fighter of the Second World War with its armament in a powered dorsal gun turret. It was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine with exhaust stacks along the sides. The flat fishtail outlet helped to direct the exhaust gases and, on night aircraft, to reduce glare for the pilot. It is one of the exhaust versions used.
Resin parts need more care than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The exhausts come into their own once painted in dark metallic and rusty shades; dry-fit the stacks to check their angle and which side they belong on before gluing.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
