A 3D-printed kit of the French Dewoitine D-7 sports aircraft in 1:72 scale from Peewit. Unlike the engineless Dewoitine P-3 glider, this is a powered sports monoplane. The kit comes from 3D printing and is intended for experienced modelers; the printed parts are fine, with print supports that have to be removed carefully. Check the exact contents against the particular package.
The Dewoitine D-7 was a French single-seat sports aircraft of the mid-1920s. It was a cantilever high-wing monoplane with an open cockpit set above the wing and fixed landing gear with a tailskid. Its airframe allowed various small engines to be installed and one of the machines was sold to Japan. It is among the less known but structurally interesting machines from the early days of the Dewoitine company.
Wash the printed parts, take the print supports off with respiratory protection and dry-fit the joints. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand only with care. Apply a primer to even out the surface and spray the colors with an airbrush in thin coats.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a 3D-printed kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
