A small resin accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, intended to refine the plastic kit of the French Dewoitine D.520 fighter in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the plastic exhaust stubs with finely cast parts with a more faithful shape and a hint of open outlets.
The Dewoitine D.520 was a single-seat fighter of French manufacture from the late 1930s, powered by a V12 engine. The exhaust stubs projected along the sides of the engine cowling, and rendering them finely contributes markedly to the realism of a finished model.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and glue them on with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The exhaust outlets can be picked out with a dark shade and a light patina of exhaust gases.
This is an accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The kit itself is not included in the package.
