Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov captures the British de Havilland DH-82A Tiger Moth trainer biplane in RAF configuration. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with a decal sheet for several Royal Air Force finishes.
The Tiger Moth was the basic trainer biplane on which thousands of pilots of the Royal Air Force and of Commonwealth air forces went through their training. It came about in the 1930s and, thanks to an undemanding, reliable design with open cockpits, it stayed in service throughout the Second World War and long after it. To this day it is among the most popular historic aircraft at air shows.
On a biplane, take care over the precise seating of the upper wing and the struts; a simple jig to keep the dihedral helps. Bond the plastic with a thin cement and clean the fine parts of flash. After varnishing, add the rigging wires from stretched filament. The typical RAF training schemes with their prominent areas will stand out when airbrushed over a primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
