This accessory in 1:72 scale represents a trash can for finishing off urban and yard scenes. It is a diorama detail, not a vehicle model: as a small element it gives a scene its sense of scale and an everyday authenticity. Resin printing keeps the shape and the fine detail even at a small size.
A trash can by the wall of a house, in a yard or in an alley is one of those details the eye reads at once as ordinary life. At a small scale it works as a visual anchor and sets off the story of a lived-in scene beside equipment and figures.
The part is held on thin print supports. Before separating it, it is worth dipping it in hot water for a moment: the resin softens slightly, the supports are easier to cut away and the material does not chip. Bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. A metallic look suits a dark base, chipping of the edges with a dry brush and a hint of rust and dirt with pigments.
The accessory is supplied as a resin casting, unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
