A plastic kit of the Brazilian twin-engine transport machine. The real subject belongs among the aircraft that appear among models only exceptionally, so this is a welcome opportunity for collectors of regional airlines and less usual types.
The Embraer EMB-110 Bandeirante was the first production aircraft of Brazilian manufacture to succeed beyond the country's borders. It first flew at the end of the 1960s as a general-purpose machine for transport over short distances: an angular fuselage, a straight wing and two turboprop engines. The designation P-2 belongs to the commercial version adapted for carrying passengers on commuter routes. Bandeirantes flew in South America, in Europe and in Africa, and a number of them stayed in service for decades, among others with small freight operators.
Before gluing, test every part dry and reckon on the fuselage and wing joints calling for a little filler and sanding. Fit the cabin and the windows only once the surface is finished. A civil scheme with a gloss finish forgives very little, so smooth the surface carefully and polish it before applying the decals. Leave the propellers until the very end, so they are not in the way and do not break off while the model is handled.
The contents of the package are an unassembled and unpainted model. Paints and glue are not enclosed with it unless stated otherwise.
