An injection-molded plastic kit of a modern aerobatic aircraft from the Czech maker Brengun. The small, clean-lined model is a pleasant contrast to the military types, and thanks to the colorful schemes of the real aerobatic machines it offers room for a bold color solution.
The Extra aircraft of the German designer Walter Extra have been among the world's best in sport aerobatics for decades. The 300L version and the newer machines of the 330 range combine a steel tube frame fuselage with a composite wing and a six-cylinder Lycoming engine; they withstand g loads far beyond the capabilities of ordinary sporting aircraft. They fly at world aerobatic championships, at air shows and as advanced trainers at aerobatic schools.
The model is small, so plan the build out and glue the smaller parts with tweezers. Real aerobatic pilots fly in colorful, often multicolored schemes - the basis is a smooth gloss surface on which the decals will settle well; let every coat dry thoroughly. Glue the clear canopy with a cement intended for clear parts so that it does not fog. A final gloss clear coat will unify the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
