This resin Quickboost set in 1:72 scale contains exactly cast V-tail surfaces (ruddervators) for the American Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk stealth aircraft. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket detail part that will replace the plastic tail surfaces from the kit and capture their faceted, angular shape.
The Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk was the first aircraft to see combat that was designed around low-observable technology. Instead of a conventional tail it has two canted surfaces arranged in a V, which control the aircraft and at the same time keep the radar return to a minimum. It is exactly their precise angle and faceted surface that tend to be a problem in plastic, so a resin replacement noticeably refines the shape.
Wash the surfaces in lukewarm soapy water before gluing because of the mold release from the mold. Separate them from the casting block with a saw or a knife, do not break them off. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand and cut with respiratory protection, resin dust is harmful to health. Watch that the angle of both surfaces is symmetrical.
