Eduard F-14 masks 1:72 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the American F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter. It gives crisp color edges on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the American two-seat Grumman F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter. It is neither a kit nor a standalone model but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color edges on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without the slow job of cutting tape by hand.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing. For many years it filled the role of the main defense fighter of the American aircraft carriers and made its name with its long-range armament. The cockpit of both crew members is covered by a large glazed canopy with a good all-round view, the frame of which has to be masked precisely when painting.
Degrease the glazing of the large canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing, lay them on the frame of the windshield and of the hinged part and press them into the edges. Spray the color with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, the paints, the glue and the decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
