An add-on set of exhaust nozzles for a model of the F-14A Tomcat aircraft in 1:72 scale, in the closed position.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-14A Tomcat is a twin-engine carrier fighter of the US Navy, recognizable at first glance by its variable-geometry wing. The diameter and the shape of the exhaust nozzles change according to the state in which the machine was captured, and at the rear of a model it is one of the first details a viewer notices.
The set replaces the exhaust nozzles of a model in 1:72 scale with a version in the closed position, that is with the petals drawn in. Such a state corresponds to an aircraft with the engines shut down, and it is a position that most kits in this scale imitate only roughly. Variants with the open position and with the two nozzles in different positions are separate items, so choose the position according to a photograph of the machine you are building. The number of parts and the recommended seating are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not of polystyrene and are glued with superglue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder flat, so that the replacement seats with no gap. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap before painting and let them dry, or the paint will hold badly on them. Paint the internal surfaces before you seat the nozzles in the rear of the fuselage, and try the seating dry beforehand.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
