An injection-molded plastic kit of the American carrier fighter F-14D Tomcat in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa. This edition brings decals for the VF-101 Grim Reapers squadron of 2002 with the striking emblem on the fins. Photo-etched parts for the instrument panel are included.
The F-14 Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing that for many years formed the backbone of the defense of American aircraft carriers. The F-14D version was the most advanced, with upgraded avionics and engines. The VF-101 Grim Reapers squadron served as the training unit for the type.
Mask the cockpit glazing before spraying; on this type the wing can usually be set at various sweep angles. Lay the base coat on with an airbrush, settle the striking decals with a decal softener and add the photo-etched instrument panel while building the cockpit.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
