McDonnell Douglas F-15D/DJ Eagle in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa — a well made injection-molded kit of the two-seat version of the fighter, with the option of building the D or the DJ variant.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the two-seat version of the F-15 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Japanese company Hasegawa. The cleanly molded model lets you build either the F-15D variant or the Japanese license-built F-15DJ, and it offers a detailed cockpit, an open canopy position and clear parts. The package holds decals and a painting guide.
The F-15D is the two-seat training and combat version of the American air superiority fighter F-15 Eagle; the DJ designation covers machines operated and built under license in Japan. The pair of tandem seats comes with full combat capability, so the aircraft serves for training as well as as a fighter in its own right. The Eagle is marked out by its pair of powerful engines and by a large weapons load.
The model suits modelers with some basic experience. Use a thin model cement on the plastic and clean up the joints of the fuselage and the engine nacelles carefully. The gray camouflage of the Eagle comes out well with an airbrush and graduated shades; pick out the panel lines with a thin wash and set the decals on a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
