SX-Art 1:72 F-15E Painting Mask is a set of self-adhesive stencils for spraying the color scheme onto a model of the two-seat F-15E attack aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SX-Art stencils serve for spraying the color areas on an F-15E model in 1:72 scale. They are laid onto a cured base and define the area of the further shade; they are not masks for the canopy glazing.
The F-15E is a two-seat attack version derived from the heavy F-15 fighter, adapted for strikes against ground targets while keeping its air combat capability. Characteristic features are the ventral and conformal weapon stations and a dark single-color to low-visibility finish with a finer gradation of the areas.
In 1:72 scale the whole airframe is markedly smaller, and the width of the individual bands and patches corresponds to that. The paint is laid on really thinly here: what passes in 1:48 as a mild thickness of coat will fill the engraved panel lines here and the model will lose its detail. Follow the rule that it is better to add a fifth thin coat than to reach for one heavy one. The moment of lifting the stencil off matters just as much. Let the paint only dry, not cure completely, and take the stencil off while the edge is still pliable; from a fully cured layer a small stencil peels with the risk of tearing a piece of the finish away.
The package contains masking stencils only. The model, the paints and the airbrush are not part of it.
