F-16 Fighting Falcon radar antenna 1:72 from Aires - a resin detail set rendering the radar antenna of the F-16 fighter for a build in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a faithfully rendered radar antenna meant to improve a plastic kit of the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter. The set lets you build the nose section with the radome swung open and the radar antenna exposed. It is meant for experienced modelers.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon carries a radar in the nose whose antenna is hidden under the radome in normal service. For maintenance the radome swings open and the antenna is on view. A detailed casting lets you show this striking scene on a model and so round out a display of equipment opened up.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with your airways protected. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the antenna in the matching metallic shades and bring the details out with a fine wash and a dry brush. The radome can be mounted in the swung-open position.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled, without the target kit, glue or paints.
