A more extensive accessory set for a model of the F-18 aircraft in 1:72 scale. The range of parts and the fit to a particular version are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation F-18 covers the carrier-based combat aircraft of the Hornet line. The older machines designated F/A-18A to D and the newer Super Hornet in the F/A-18E and F versions differ in the size of the fuselage, the shape of the air intakes and the arrangement of the hardpoints. For a modeler that means the designation F-18 alone does not pin a version down.
The qualifier in the name says that this is a larger set of accessories, not a single part. The particular contents, the number of parts and the version the set is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Before you work the set into a build, compare it with the documentation for your own kit, especially if you are building a Super Hornet and the set aims at the older Hornet or the other way round.
If the parts are not polystyrene, you join them with super glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand off the rest. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Then apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy layer would flood the small detail. With larger sets it is worth working through groups of parts and dry-fitting each group first, so that a misalignment can be put right before the glue sets.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
