This kit from Hasegawa brings the modern Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter in the B version in 1:72 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model to be assembled and painted, with a faithfully rendered fuselage and cockpit.
The F-35 B version is a multirole fifth generation combat aircraft with a reduced radar signature. Unlike the other versions it can land vertically and take off from a short run thanks to a lift fan and a vectoring nozzle, which predestines it for operation from short runways and from decks. It combines modern sensors with features that make it hard to detect.
In the smaller scale, take care over clean joints and use a small amount of thin cement. Mask the canopy glazing. Apply a primer before painting, spray the low-visibility gray scheme with an airbrush in thin coats and accentuate the panel lines lightly. Apply the decals over a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
