Eduard 1:72 F-35A is a color photo-etched set that adds fine metal detail, above all in the cockpit, to a model of the modern F-35A fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket accessory from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The package holds parts etched from thin metal sheet, some of them printed in color and used directly, with no painting. The color parts are aimed mainly at the cockpit: the large-area display, the side consoles and the seat belts. The injection-molded F-35A kit in 1:72 scale has to be bought separately.
The F-35A Lightning II is a single-engine multirole combat aircraft designed with a low radar signature in mind. Version A is the conventional land-based variant, taking off from and landing on an ordinary runway. For a modeler it is marked by the flat, sharply faceted surfaces of the airframe and by a cockpit with a large touchscreen display instead of a conventional array of dials, which a photo-etched set can capture better than a plastic molding.
Separate the parts with a scalpel on a hard surface, not with nippers. Make the folds in one movement, ideally in a bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate in a minimal amount, and on clear parts use clear varnish instead. Do not overspray the color-printed surfaces with aggressive clear coats, so that the printing is not damaged. Sand the original plastic relief under the photo-etched part flat beforehand. On an aircraft with a smooth surface, watch out for excess glue, which shows very clearly on a dark flat finish.
The set is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
