An injection-molded plastic kit of the American North American F-86F Sabre jet fighter in 1:72 scale from Academy. The model captures the classic shape of the first Western production fighter with a swept wing. The kit is supplied as a set of plastic parts to be glued and painted.
The F-86 Sabre was an American single-engined jet fighter that made its name during the Korean War in dogfights with MiG-15s. The F-86F version had a more powerful engine and a modified wing for better handling at high altitude. The Sabre became an icon of the early jet age and served in many countries long after the war.
Mask the cockpit and the clear canopy and spray them separately. Glue with liquid cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints smooth. Glossy natural metal is best applied with an airbrush over a smooth gloss base; colored bands and markings stand out under a gloss coat before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
