This is a resin detail accessory, not a kit. The set replaces the cooling flaps (cowl flaps) of the engine cowling on the Vought F4U-1 Corsair fighter in 1:72 scale with a part that has the flaps in the open position. That brings out the space behind the radial engine and gives the model the livelier, in-service look the aircraft had when parked on the ground.
Separate the part from the casting block, wash the mold release agent off it and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before gluing, compare the diameter against the cowling of your model; level out small differences by sanding with respiratory protection. We recommend bringing out the inner faces of the flaps with shading.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
