F9F-2 Panther Correct Nose with Barrels 1:72 (Quickboost) is a resin aircraft accessory in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but a detail part. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin nose section of the airframe in the correct shape, including the barrels of the nose cannons, for the American Grumman F9F-2 Panther carrier-based fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that replaces the less accurately shaped plastic nose and the coarser barrels from the base kit, not a model of the aircraft in its own right.
The Grumman F9F Panther was an American single-engine carrier-based jet fighter with a straight wing, the main carrier fighter of the US Navy and the Marine Corps during the Korean War. The armament was concentrated in the lower part of the nose, where it carried four 20 mm cannons. The shape of the nose and the cannon muzzles are among the recognition features of the type.
Resin parts need more care than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding and cutting the parts. Apply a primer before painting. Seat the nose dry before gluing and check how the shape follows on into the fuselage; fill and sand any gaps. The cannon muzzles can be finely drilled out for a more faithful look.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
